Multi Coloured Activity Mats

40mm Mats - 1m x 1m x 4cm depth. The surface being a simulation of a traditional Tatumi mat in Reversable Red & Blue, Green & Black colors'.

The density of the 4cm mat has been designed to absorb heavy impacts and to give maximum impact absorption. The mats have in addition been tested for an indicative child fall height by ROSPA. 40mm 1m x 1m gauge. This mat recieved no significant damage at any height tested. The maximum fall height acceptable for this mat is 3000mm (NB it is suggested that this is not used for falls from above 2500mm). The 4cm mats may be laid single color as shown or chequer as shown.

The Tatumi simulated surface has been designed to give the grip and feel of a traditional mat and allow for easy foot work.

12mm mats- The mats are 60cm x 60cm x 1.2cm depth. The surface being cross hatched for grip. 4 mats to a zip carry pack.

The maximum fall height acceptable for this mat is 670mm based on a concrete base. If used on timber or other softer sub base the fall height should theoretically rise. These mats have an enormous range of uses from baby change and play to pilates, aerobics as well as work mats for the garage both domestically and commercially.

Mat grip- Restricts the movement of mats on surfaces such as a polished wooden floor such as a gym and also including laminates.

You do not require full coverage under the sports mats, only spot areas. Does not leave a residue and may be reused.

A Selection of 20mm x 1m x 1m, 40mm x 1m x 1m & 12mm x 60cm x 60cm interlocking mats.

All the 1m, 1.2cm, 2cm and 4cm square mats are twin colored as is the edging. Due to special interlock the mats may be laid as a chequer board or with a centre color with the other color around this central area as a contrast or of course just by using the edging if an edge contrast is required.

The interlock itself is designed to give maximum strength so stopping dangerous parting of the mats even when used for intense activities such as martial arts. Part of the strength of the interlock depends on the mats density and construction as a weak material will not stand heavy activity safely no matter what the interlock. The material, a EVA, is impervious to water and most chemicals in daily use so is easy to clean and so hygienic. The mats are equally at home indoors as well as outdoors.

Every mat arrives with its edge around it, at first glance the mat looks as though it has no interlock but not so. Just peel the edge off, place it to one side whilst engaging the mat with those already laid.

Once the mats are laid the edges around may be installed. Use such as a Stanley knife to cut where required. Place the edge around the corner and cut at the end of each arm, then press into position. By cutting the corners of straight edges can then be matched up and pressed into place. The edges may be cut and installed using the reversed color if required.

20mm mats- Each mat is 1m x 1m x 2cm depth. The surface is a series of alternating bashed in a squared section as shown. Available in reversible Red/BLue or Green/Black.

The surface is designed to give maximum grip yet still allow an easy smooth foot movement.

The mat density is designed to give maximum impact absorption and has been tested for an indicative child fall height by ROSPA. Thus making the mats ideal for children. The maximum fall height acceptable for this mat is 1050mm.

The mats may be laid chequer color or as a single color as shown on the 4cm.

40mm Red & Blue Reversible Interlocking Sports & Safety Mats

4cm x 1m x 1m Interlocking Sports and Safety mats. Being thicker the mats are able to be slightly softer yet retaining a firm surface for hard and complicated footwork, the greater gauge allowing a greater safety margin in falls. These mats are tested for Child Fall Height and is rated at a maximum of 3m. This makes the mats ideal for any sport or activity where Children are involved whether in play at home, school or the nursery as well as in the sporting or exercise arena. Pilate's Aerobics and Gymnastics including safety areas in Hospitals were various exercises are carried out. Being fully reversible the mats may be laid chequer board, plain blue or plain red. The edges supplied may also be installed in the reverse colour to identify the edge of the working area.

Repair System

Mats may become damaged if equipment such as staves, swords etc are used. This damage may not be critical but is both visually annoying and irritating when standing on it, as well as being a magnet for children picking. We have sourced a limited number of colors to repair this type of damage to the mats. The colours may not be an exact shade but will leave the mat looking back to normal and also more comfortable when using it.

1 - Dust and clean area

2 - Brush with Primer

3 - Extrude filler out into hole, it is possible to mark out lines similar to the original design.

4 - Once dry if proud trim with very sharp knife.
